Geniune & Serious Health Question about female masturbation?
I have not had a sexual partner for 4 years. I have not had regular sex for 8 years. Although obviously not ideal, I thought I had got used to being single and not being sexually active. Recently, I have become extremely sexually aroused and masturbate excessively (4 or 5 times a day). It is causing me difficulty because it is interferring with my ability to concentrate and work.
I am obsessively thinking about sex and becoming turned on.
Is this just a phase and will it pass? If not, what can I do to manage this so it doesn't interfere with my life? Is it a medical problem? Is it worth seeing my doctor for treatment or is that just ridiculous?
Is this nothing more than a natural reaction to not having had sex for such a long time?
I have tried googling but I can't find any information about this. All sites about excessive masturbation seem to be related to male masturbation.
This is a genuinely serious question. Please don't post replies like 'go and have sex'. I am single and don't believe in casual sex.
